About Erik

Erik Howell grew up in the Five Cities and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School. He attended Harvard University and USC Law School before returning home to practice law in Pismo Beach.

As a 17-year member of the Board of Education, Howell now oversees a budget of $75 million, nearly 1,000 employees, and construction projects in the millions. He helped balance the School District’s budget every year for seventeen years. Erik serves as Vice President of the Shell Beach Improvement Group and has served on the Clark Center Board of Directors and the Pismo Beach Parking Commission.

Erik is proud of his work on behalf of families and he will bring this same tireless advocacy and fiscal responsibility to the Pismo Beach City Council. Erik Howell will work collaboratively to:

  • Increase Our Diminished Property Values
  • Support Our Local Businesses
  • Revitalize Our Deteriorated Downtown
  • Develop Long-term Solutions to Our Parking Issues.

I’m running for City Council because I love Pismo Beach. This is where I’m raising my family. As your council member, I will work to preserve our unique quality of life, while improving our City. I support well-planned, responsible growth. I oppose costly new annexations that strain our resources and undermine our property values.

I welcome your input. Please contact me with any questions or concerns at Campaign@erikhowell.com or 556-4640.

I would appreciate your vote on November 8.
